From the Desk of the Worthy Grand Matron:

Thank you for giving me the honor of serving as your Worthy Grand Matron along with Brother Donald Bordelon  as Worthy Grand Patron for the “In God’s Hands” Grand Chapter year. The installation was beautiful. Thank all of you for working so hard to make it perfect.

Sister Mary Howell, PGM, and Brother George Barker, PGP, are to be commended for the way they conducted their “Echoes of the Centuries” year.

We would like to welcome our new Associate Grand Patron, Brother Oscar Abshire and our new Associate Grand Conductress, Sister Linn McNary. I wish the best of everything for you as you begin your travels to the East.  Also, congratulations to Sister Martha Jo Schexneidre on her election to the Board of Fraternal Assistance and to Sister Betty LeBourgeois on her election to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Sister Pauline Rushing on the Clinton Ardis Mills Educational Scholarship Fund Board.

Thank you Sister Sharon Powell and your Committee, the Line Officers Luncheon was wonderful. The food was good and the strawberry decorations were really beautiful.

The Deputies will begin to make their Official Visits soon, I know that all of you will greet your Deputy with smiles and hugs when she comes to your Chapter and show her how great your chapters are in doing your work.

Remember always keep a smile on your face, a prayer in your heart, and greet all with a warm hug.
