From the Desk of the Worthy Grand Matron:
Dear
Sisters and Brothers:
Summer is officially here and I know you are all
feeling the heat. It’s also time for
our Official Visits to begin. I know
each Deputy and District have worked tirelessly to entertain members from all over
the state. I hope you will make the extra effort to attend as many as
possible. DON’T FORGET YOUR CAN GOODS!!
We had a great trip to Georgia Grand Chapter with 14
members in attendance. Forty-one (41)
members traveled to Oklahoma for the 8-State Exchange Visit. A number of our members participated in the
ritual competition. Thank you for your
efforts and representing our state at these events.
Our 1st Fraternal Relations Day will be
held on July 15, 2006 from 11AM – 2PM at the Masonic Temple on Horseshoe Drive
in Alexandria. Knowing the importance
of supporting each other and joining each other in membership, we will enjoy a
day of information, food, games, and an auction. Please encourage your family and friends to attend. Tickets will be sold for the various events
with the proceeds going to our Youth programs.
Please plan to attend the Louisiana/Arkansas “Tailgate
Party” Exchange on July 22, 2006 from 11AM-3PM. Come casual and wear your
favorite sports jersey. The state with
the most members present will bring home the “Boot” Trophy.
Congratulations to Adah Chapter No. 24 who celebrated
their 100th Anniversary on June 3.
Sts. John Chapter No. 35 will
join the Century Club on July 24. Please join them for their celebrations.
This is also the month for celebrating our Nation’s
Birthday. Lee Greenwood said it best,
“I’m Proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free, and I won’t
forget the men who died, who gave that right to me, and I’d proudly stand up,
next to her and defend her still today, for their aint no doubt, I love this
land, God Bless the USA.” Doesn’t that
sound like something grandma would say, too?
Keep a song in your heart and a smile on your face.
Fraternally,
Jane
McDaniel

Matron

Courtesies
Through the courtesy of the
Worthy Grand matron, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my sisters
and brothers for their prayers during my pregnancy. My son, Paul, is thriving, now.
I know that each of you added to that. Faith really does move
mountains. Each of you have also
welcomed him with open arms. You’ve given
him a sort of “bonus” extended family, and that’s priceless. No words can express my gratitude. God Bless you all-----Robyn Guillory, PM,
Rising Star No. 121
Expressions of appreciation have been received from
the various Rainbow assemblies
for your generous donations during the 2005-2006 year.

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE GRAND SECRETARY:
How are you doing on
compiling your information for the database?
Is there any way we can be of assistance? We know this is a lot of work, but in the end it will be worth it
– not only for the Grand Secretary’s office, but for you.
