Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Congratulations to Lafayette Chapter #46 celebrating 100 years with a great Birthday Party on June 14, 2008.  It is always fun to attend a birthday party.

We were happy to attend Rainbow Grand Assembly and bring greetings from the Order of the Eastern Star at the Informal opening on Thursday June 12, 2008 in Alexandria.  The Girls did a beautiful job.  Mallory Clark, Past Grand Worthy Advisor, did a beautiful job presiding over the meetings.  Congratulations to Angela Cocran, Grand Worthy Advisor for 2008-2009. Best wishes for a wonderful year.

Remember our 8-State Exchange on July 18th and 19th in Shreveport.  Contact Linda Lamkin, P.G.M. for tickets and registration information.

July is the month we celebrate our nations birthday.

            232 years ago…on July 4, 1776

This great nation, the United States of America,

In a struggle for what was right and free, was proudly born….

May we celebrate that precious freedom

For which our forbears fought so bravely….

            The freedom that is inherent

In the Stars and Stripes, our revered flag…

Celebrate Freedom this Fourth of July!

May we continue to spread Kindness, Faith and Caring as we travel over our State.

                                                                                                Fraternally,

                                                                                                Juanita Wilkinson
