From the Desk of the Worthy Grand Matron:

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Schools of Instruction are almost over.  Thank you, Grand Supervisors, for the great instruction you are giving and job well done. Lots of nice compliments have been given.  Thank you, Sisters and Brothers, for attending and participating.

The first Official Visit is the first weekend of June in the District of our Worthy Grand Patron and Grand Esther.  We will see all of you there!

The International Order of Rainbow for Girls, Grand Assembly of Louisiana, will hold its 85th “Rainbow in Space” Session in Shreveport at the Shreveport Convention Center, June 5th - 8th.  Sister Linn McNary, Grand Conductress, is an adult committee member and in charge of the Grand Cross of Color that will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday.  She and I both would love to see many OES attend to support our Youth.

If you did not attend the AR/LA Exchange Visit, "Spring Time in Arkansas", you missed a good time.  As a result of the program that afternoon, we learned many things about our Grand Officers which confirmed that they are indeed a special group.  Arkansas won the "Boot" by one person (64/63).  Thanks to all sixty three that attended.

Congratulations to St Albans No 80, Jessamine No 82 and Ira No. 84 on the celebration of their 100th Birthday.  Each occasion was a special event.  If you can imagine that back in the year 1911 these Chapters were formed, and survived all these years, is amazing and a tribute to all their members past and present.

Final arrangements are being made for the Holy Land Trip.  The last date to sign up is September 1st without incurring a late fee of $200.00.  Sign up, get your passport, and start packing!

Father's Day is this month; do not forget to honor your father.  And a little bit of history, June 14th is Flag Day which commemorates the adoption of the Flag of the United States.

"In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths."  Proverbs 3:6 (KJ)

Fraternally with love,

Joy Beth Williams

Worthy Grand Matron
