From the Desk of the Worthy Grand Matron:

WOW!  Where did summer go?  It seems like it began only yesterday and it is already over.  Fall has begun and winter will be here before we know it.  I pray your summer went well.   We will soon be starting a new year when we elect our new leaders for the year.  With the coming of new leadership there will also be an opportunity to try new ideas.

DeMolay Boys are our future Masons. Please remember to set aside the October silver drill for the support of these young men.

Several of our members have had surgery, some are ill and others have lost loved ones.  Please remember these in prayer.  Cards and phone calls are great ways to let them know that they are remembered.

GENERAL GRAND CHAPTER BREAKFAST:  Sunrise in Tulsa Breakfast”, honoring our PMWGP and GGCCM’s on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 7:00 a.m. at the Doubletree Hotel. Cost:  $25.00.  For tickets, send self addressed, stamped envelope to Mrs. Linda Lamkin, PGM, 293 Bear Creek Road, Ruston, LA  71270.

With the Courtesy of the Worthy Grand Matron:  2010 ALASKAN CRUISE:      Come join AGM, Myra Ramsey, and, AGP, Donald Bordelon aboard the SAPPHIRE PRINCESS for our OES cruise to the beautiful state of ALASKA!  Our group will sail from Seattle on September 5, 2010, and visit Ketchikan, Tracy Arm Fjord, Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria, British Columbia on this exciting 7 day cruise. Per person cruise cost with port and government fees included range from $1100 to $1600 depending on your cabin choice and the number of occupants (maximum of 4 in a cabin). Space is limited.   A deposit of $200 per person is all that is required to hold you a spot.

OES will offer group airfare from select gateways at a later date.  In addition to airfare, extra costs to consider will be shore excursion options (priced from $50 to $180 per port), insurance, and shipboard gratuities.  We know this seems early, but Alaskan cruises sell quickly, and we don't want you to miss out on the fun! We will definitely keep you updated as information becomes available.

For a free brochure or to reserve your cabin, please call Dianne at Monroe Travel Service--1 800 365 3465--and ask for the OES trip.  We hope you will make plans to join us!
