From the Desk of the Worthy Grand Matron:
Dear
Sisters and Brothers,
Another month has come and
gone, all Official Visits have been made I am sad to say. A special thank
youť to all the District Deputy Grand Matrons, and to all the District members,
that helped to make the Official Visits a success. It was very enjoyable
to visit with all my Sisters and Brothers (chat with old acquaintances and
visit with new members). Brother Oscar and I are going to miss it, but we
hope to see you soon.
We plan to see all of you at the Cancer Luncheon at the

young men are our future and we need to support them.
Sister Linn McNary, GC, and I will be attending Grand Chapter in

The Plant a Seed for Cancer Cancer Survivors Luncheon
will be held October 8, 2011, at 12 Noon at the Acacia Shrine Center, 7991 S.
Commerce Ave., Baton Rouge, La. It will
include Lunch, a Style Show, and Auction.
All proceeds will go to the Grand Chapter Cancer Project. A ticket (Donation of $20.00) can be
purchased from Jane McDaniel, PGM, Chairman, 2625 Riverside Drive, Port Allen,

at the door). If you would like to
Honor a Cancer Survivor or Memorialize a Loved One, you may purchase a ready to
plant seed for $10.00 which will be recognized at the Luncheon. Please come and help us support our Order as
we do our part to fight Cancer.

NOTE: The deadline to
receive proposed resolutions for the March, 2012 session by the Chairman of Law
& Jurisprudence will be January 1, 2012. This will give the committee
time to approve them for circulation. The Grand Secretary must have the
resolutions in proper form in her office by January 18th so that she
might prepare them for the February newsletter. Our current law states
that all resolutions must be in the Grand Secretary’s office at least 60 days
before our Grand Chapter session. Should you need assistance, please
contact a member of the Law & Jurisprudence Committee.
